Subject:What the fuck?
Time:9:54 pm.
Mood: pissed off.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood.... I get home and there is an eviction notice on the door. It's only the 7th of the month and the 5th was a holiday. I mailed the rent out overnight Tuesday so they should have it today.

I was homeless for a week because of a large tree that fell on the roof creating a new sky light. The tree fell during the hurricane Monday and they didn't bother having it removed until Sunday. It's alright for them to take their sweet time getting it done, but don't dare be a day or too late with the rent. Before they removed the tree from my house, they found time to go buy and move in about 10 new mobile homes. They should work for the government.

I tried sending the rent out overnight through UPS Saturday, but couldn't because it was going to a PO Box, so I wound up sending it overnight Tuesday via the post office. It's not like I didn't try. I need to find my lease because I'm pretty sure it said something about the 16th of the month for evictions.

Subject:It only took 6 months
Time:11:37 am.
Mood: excited.
After trying to get in touch with the adjuster at workers comp, I finally got a return phone call. The only reason that they called back because I left a message that I was without an income for the last 6 months and had my former employer, the people who actually pay for their services, give them a call.

The adjuster said she didn't think I wasn't working because when I hurt my back in August, I continued working until I hurt it worse in December. So that's 2/3 of 6 months of income...4 months of income is coming in the mail. Yeah! This will be enough to get me through my the next year without working and be able to pay for the remainder of school.

For the last month I couldn't get approval to continue physical therapy. Now that they realize it will cost them wages along with the medical bills, they are more than willing to approve it.

Subject:Time to get childish
Time:3:37 pm.
The bitch turned off the phone, but somehow Bellsouth hasn't turned off the dsl yet. Lets see how she likes living without a refrigerator for the next week. The washer and dryer is also mine so I put a nice little note on the washer saying do no use. I hope she does because I poured bleach in it. I wanted to keep the phone until the end of the month because after that I will be on campus m-f and would just use the internet there, at least for the summer. I really should just change the locks now.

Subject:I finally found the motivation to move out of Baton Rouge
Time:4:59 pm.
Of course it won't be for another year or two, but I need to more out of East Baton Rouge Parish.

First, I had to pay $400 to replace some fuel valve to pass the emissions test to get an inspection sticker. I know in Mississippi you don't even need an inspection sticker. I had a friend that lived here and in Alabama and they had cheaper auto insurance and less fees when it came to titling a car in Alabama. Here, if you live in a parish that charges 9.5% taxes and buy the car in a parish that charges 8.5% taxes, you have to pay the 9.5% because that is where you live. That has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of.

Now because the air quality doesn't meet standards because of the 20 chemical plants along the river, we have to use a gas that will attracts humidity or something like that and will cause parts like the fuel pump and gas tank to rust over time.

Today I got a full tank of gas 20 gallons-$40 to see if that $400 will make a difference in my gas mileage. It's only has 8 cylinders, how much gas could it possible use? I would trade it in for something smaller, but 1. it hasn't given me any problems yet and 2. i hate buy used cars. No matter who checks out the car before you buy it it will always have at least on problem, that's why the last person didn't want it any more. For mine it was the harmonizer pulley and the check engine light which was the fuel valve. Since all that is fixed, I may as well keep it now.

Time:3:54 pm.
....and your address is Baton Rouge, (La.) Los Angeles?

No, I don't live in the state of Los Angeles.

Yes, it is easy to confuse La. with L.A., but not when it follows Baton Rouge.

Thanks for your help Ashish.

Subject:The more I do, the less I know....
Time:12:16 am.
Mood: frustrated.
After spending hours trying to help change their web page to direct their payments through a new merchant account, I now know less than I thought I did. I know nothing, but I figured most of it out. Only part we couldn't quite figure out was after getting the credit card approved to have the email, tell the person who runs the web page what the order is-we got as far as sending the name, address, etc, but not the exact order from her shopping cart. If it was mine, it wouldn't be a problem, I would screw with every thing until I figured it out, but I'd rather not mess with someone else's.

Subject:Blues week performers will really be singing the blues.
Time:3:29 pm.
I don't normally read the obituaries, just one of those weird coincidences. Ronnie Neal (Raful's son, Kenny's brother) died Wednesday and the funeral is tomorrow. Raful is scheduled to be at Phil Brady's Monday night and Kenny is scheduled for Thursday night.

I've know the family casually for years and met 10 of his brothers and sisters, but don't really know any that well. From what I know of Ronnie, he was a friendly guy, just like to sing, hang out, and have a good time.

Subject:Must be a slow day for news....
Time:1:01 pm.
I've seen the same story about Conllen Powell's reference to Pottery Barn and the "you break it you buy it" poilcy about one too many times already. Pottery Barn had to jump up and get as much free publicity as they can denying they don't have that policy. I have this urge to go to Pottery Barn just to see their reaction.

*note to self* register for classes April 23

For once, I get to go to school without working two jobs. That should make it a bit easier. I was planning taking a class or two until I finished my degree, but now that I've been out of work for four months with a back injury that is no where near being fixed (only a few herniated discs and plenty of torn muscles), I really need to get a degree to keep my income at the same level while doing something I enjoy. I can't stand the 9 to 5 routine, it will never be me. I was working until 2am when I was in high school and checking in at lunch (had my own apartment senior year-paid my own rent, food, utilities, etc). I got used to having jobs with no supervision. I've been told I have problems with authority. :-p I just need a job that will pay the bills so I can go buy more real-estate. The condo I bought when I was 21 will be buying assorted book-shaped paperweights and lovely tuition receipts.

Need ideas of jobs that aren't structured...
Possibily dealing with: accounting, finance, real-estate(not selling), construction (possible construction management major), organizing, something that is not generally a "woman's job", something hands on.
and NOT with: art (total left brained), engineering (too boring), anything with public speaking (possibly consider teaching, subbing wasn't too bad, but damn they have to get up early), nursing.

Subject:David Duke moves to a black neighborhood
Time:10:01 pm.
Mr. KKK, David Duke, is assigned to a half-way house in Mall City in Baton Rouge (behind the old Bon Marche Mall) after being released from jail for cheating on his taxes. Not the nicest neighborhood for anyone to be living in. The news may be getting interesting soon being that the news is advertising where Duke will be.
